The Community Consultation Network

Trusted professionals for the questions that come before therapy.

A community directory of independent professionals offering informational consultations, distinct from ongoing care.

Not everyone starts by booking a course of therapy. Sometimes you need a single conversation with a real professional to understand what you are noticing, think through reasonable next steps, or decide whether therapy makes sense at all. This directory is for that.

Why this network exists

Dr. O built this to bridge the navigation gap.

Most people who need a clinician do not walk in with a clean question. They walk in with a knot: a symptom cluster they cannot name, a system they do not know how to enter, or a life change they need help thinking about before they can decide what care actually fits.

The Community Consultation Network was built by Dr. O to close that gap. It is a directory of trusted, independent professionals who offer informational consultations, not therapy, not diagnosis, but the kind of guidance that helps you understand what you are dealing with and where to go next.

Because the door before the therapy door is often the hardest one to find. And someone should be there when you knock.

Consultation Rate

A low, accessible flat rate

The Network is designed to be affordable. Each provider sets their own rate within a modest suggested range, paid directly to them. Sticky Brain Studio does not process payments or take a fee. Your provider will confirm the amount, payment method, and any adjustments in advance.

If you need urgent help, do not wait for a consultation.

The Community Consultation Network is not a crisis service. Consultations are scheduled independently by each provider and may take days or weeks to arrange. If you or someone you love is in immediate distress, please use a real-time resource right now:

  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text). Free, confidential, 24/7.
  • 911 or your nearest emergency room for immediate medical emergencies.
  • Crisis Text Line Text HOME to 741741.
  • Trevor Project 1-866-488-7386 (24/7 support for LGBTQ+ youth).

The Network launched with a small, carefully curated set of professionals and grows on rolling intake, reviewed quarterly. Please note that a directory listing is not a warranty or endorsement of any provider’s qualifications. Use your own judgment when reaching out.

For Providers

Join a community-first directory.

The Consultation Network is a light-touch, values-aligned way for licensed professionals to be discoverable by families looking for a single meaningful conversation. No employment. No supervision. No fees taken. You practice as you always have.

You practice as you

You are an independent professional. You determine your documentation, privacy, and consultation practices.

What we ask of participating providers

Providers are solely responsible for operating within their own active license, credential, training, and scope of practice, including any cross-state licensure considerations. Sticky Brain Studio does not credential, supervise, verify, or endorse providers. Listing is a directory listing only, not employment or a service contract.

We ask that all listed providers work from a neurodiversity-affirming, identity-responsive stance and are comfortable framing consultations as informational, not clinical.

To be considered for listing, submit:

  1. A short bio (150 to 200 words) describing your practice, focus areas, and how you approach consultations
  2. A professional headshot (square format works best)
  3. Your preferred contact email for family inquiries
  4. Your discipline and scope of practice (e.g., licensed clinical psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, physician)
  5. Signed Provider Participation Acknowledgment (available on request)

Rolling intake, reviewed quarterly. Submissions can be sent at any time. New provider listings are reviewed and added on a quarterly cadence.
